The popular Golden Guide Northumberland has launched its own website.

The free guide to daily living for over 50s is well known throughout the county. Published annually in January it is the ‘go to’ guide for local information on Health, Care, Money and Leisure topics.

Now the Golden Guide is expanding online to offer even more. Have a look at the site and you’ll find local updates and news on favourite topics, including leisure opportunities, health, money and disability. There are original feature articles too. More are being added all the time.

And of course readers can also browse the current Golden Guide edition, find out how to get hold of a print copy and leave feedback or suggestions of their own.

Editor Heather Alabaster says. ‘We’re delighted with the new site—it gives us the flexibility to keep everyone better informed and topped up with new information over the year.

‘It’s simple to use and readers can keep coming back to check for snippets of news and notices for all kinds of community services and events. It’s a quick and easy way to keep in touch!

‘And we’ll be happy to have suggestions from groups or charities too, if they fit our criteria, please email or ring us.’

Although the Golden Guide is aimed at over 50s in Northumberland its appeal has always been wider. Its content is popular with families, carers and professionals from further afield. So look out for a broader range of community information from Newcastle and the rest of Tyneside too!
