Many charities and support groups have them too including Healthwatch Northumberland, Carers’ Northumberland, Royal Voluntary Service, Alzheimer’s Society, Citizens Advice Bureaux, Pension team and more.

Sister publication to the Golden Guide Northumberland, the Tyneside version covers Newcastle and North Tyneside. Its aim is to help older people enjoy life and take advantage of the wealth of activities and opportunities across the area.

Where to get a free copy. Newcastle and North Tyneside library branches, Social Care teams in both areas, hospital occupational therapists and hospital to home teams, selected pharmacies and all GP surgeries. Charities and support groups have them too e.g. Age UK teams, Healthwatch teams, Carers’ groups, Royal Voluntary Service, Alzheimer’s Society, Care and Connect service, the Elders Council and more.
